Pay homage to the fabulous 2018-2019 Team Squad of the LA Rams with this absolute masterpiece, an LA Rams commemorative plaque bearing the famous Ram logo, hand signed by Jared Goff (QB), Todd Gurley II (RB) and Aaron Donald (DT). The Rams helmet logo history dates back to 1948 when halfback Fred Gehrke painted a set of ram horns on the side of a helmet. Gehrke would actually be inducted to the Hall of Fame, not for how he played on the field, but for being the one to paint the rams horns on the helmet. The Rams were actually the first NFL team to have a logo on their helmets.
The LA Rams boast one of the most disruptive defensive lines in the league. The unit is led by defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who led the NFL with 20.5 sacks during the regular season. Fellow defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh has also been creating havoc for the Rams in the NFL playoffs, recording 1.5 sacks against Drew Brees and the Saints in the NFC title game. They finished the 2018 season earning the #2 seed in the NFC, before knocking off the Dallas Cowboys and top seeded New Orleans Saints to earn their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history. It was the culmination of a long journey for the Rams, who went from 2004 to 2016 without recording a winning record. But after a dismal 4–12 season in 2016, the team's fortunes changed with the hiring of 30-year old head coach Sean McVay. Under McVay and second year quarterback Jared Goff, who recovered from a dismal rookie season to record a triple digit passer rating, the Rams improved to an 11–5 record in 2017. Then in 2018, they won their first 8 games and finished the year with a 13–3 record, tying the Saints for the best record in the NFC.
It is professionally framed in a uber elite custom museum frame. The triple matted display is mounted in a high-quality wood frame and finished with protective glass to keep it looking pristine. The customized descriptive metallic plaques, in addition to the detailed finishing and openings, add to the elegant and sophisticated gallery quality look. Complete with a serialized certificate of authenticity and verifiable numbered hologram, this piece is an exciting investment that will only get better with age.
