Pay homage to the fabulous 2018-2019 Team Squad of the Kansas City Chiefs and to a new and upcoming football star, Patrick Mahomes, with this absolute masterpiece, a Kansas City Chiefs Commemorative Plaque, hand signed by Patrick Mahomes (QB), Tyreek Hill (WR) and Travis Kelce (TE). The Chiefs were the most victorious franchise in AFL history, compiling an 87–48–5 record from 1960 to 1969. However, their victory on January 11, 1970 remains the franchise's only Super Bowl title to date. The Chiefs began the 2018 season with first-year starter Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback and finished the regular season with a record of 12–4. In his first year in the league, Mahomes served as the backup to Chiefs starting quarterback Alex Smith. After a trade that sent Smith to the Washington Redskins, Mahomes was named the starter for the 2018 season. That season, he became only the third player in NFL history to throw 50 touchdown passes in a single season (Tom Brady and Peyton Manning both accomplished this feat in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He was named to the First Team All-Pro and was voted to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career. On January 12, 2019, the Chiefs defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-13 in the AFC Divisional round to move on to the AFC Championship Game. This marked the Chiefs' first playoff win in Arrowhead Stadium in 25 years. This also enabled the Chiefs to host the AFC Championship Game for the first time ever.
It is professionally framed in a uber elite custom museum frame. The triple matted display is mounted in a high-quality wood frame and finished with protective glass to keep it looking pristine. The customized descriptive metallic plaques, in addition to the detailed finishing and openings, add to the elegant and sophisticated gallery quality look. Complete with a serialized certificate of authenticity and verifiable numbered hologram, this piece is an exciting investment that will only get better with age.
