Jessie Phillips Andersen, founder of Speechless Studios based in Oakland, CA, designs objects that are meant to make you feel—joy, awe, or just delight—using familiar forms, ideas, and materials that already hold meaning for us. Her Wobble Bowls, which were funded on Kickstarter, are inspired by how play is expressed in the design of toys, and how that can be applied to functional objects to evoke a child-like joy in everyday life.
