Baltimore-based Sagamore Spirit is an award-winning waterfront distillery driven to craft incredible American rye whiskey made from Maryland-grown rye. Their American rye whiskies have earned more than 100 awards internationally, including World's Best Rye Whiskey in 2019 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Each one of our products is proofed with pure, limestone-filtered water from their Spring House built in 1909. It's why each bottle bears a special 1909 marker.

This second iteration of their Rum Cask Finish Rye Whiskey celebrates the innovation and creativity of the Sagamore Spirit Reserve Series. They age their 5- and 6-year-old straight rye whiskies in hand-selected barrels from South America and Jamaica for an additional 10 months and then blend them back together. The Jamaican rum barrels contribute notes of ripe banana and bright pineapple, which is balanced by the rich vanilla and brûléed sugar character of the South American rum barrels.

Tasting Notes
Demerara sugar, ripe banana, passion fruit, spice pineapple, vanilla, fried floras, peanut brittle, and cinnamon bark with a peppery finish.
