Sock Affairs
Mammoth Socks
Product Description
The White Stripes popped up head and shoulders above the indie-rock explosion of the '00s. Faux siblings Jack and Meg brought a searing brand of garage rock that hadn’t been seen since the sixties, made even more mind-boggling by the fact that they were just a duo. Nothing about them is left to chance. Jack emerged as a sort of a Willy Wonka of music, carefully orchestrating music with costuming, style, and genuine artistry.
'Elephant'>/b> was the band's fourth album in 2003 and it was just as big as the title suggests. By going retro on the equipment and approach, they created a masterpiece of alternative rock. Impossible not to mention the status of universal anthem reached by ‘Seven Nation Army'.
In true Jack White style, there are six different versions of the cover, with variations of positioning, props, hue, all adding to the mystic and cryptic symbolism of the band. A mammoth of a work now turned into a mammoth of a sock.
