WindSaber is a true 4-season mountaineering tent at under 5 lbs! SlingFin's new lightweight 2 person alpine/mountaineering tent features their patented, award-winning WebTruss Technology and includes a new clip system which allows the tent to be set up with or without the WebTruss.
Think of the WebTruss as a skeleton that can be used in a variety of combinations based upon the needs of your trip and the surrounding environment. Pole sleeves are the best way to distribute force evenly over a tent body. But, when setting up a sleeve tent in high winds, you are essentially building a kite until you get your last pole in. For this reason, clip-style tents mostly dominate the market for high-altitude mountaineering. However, now with the WebTruss you have the benefits of a clip system with the strength of a sleeve system; easy and quick to set up, even in high winds. Throw your flysheet over the WebTrussc and you can finish installing the tent body while protected from the outside elements. When conditions aren’t your primary concern and ounces are, you can switch the tent body attachment points to twist clips and leave the WebTruss at home!
The WindSaber redefines what’s possible for a lightweight, yet strong 4-season tent. The light weight and small packing size will make it easier for you to carry this tent farther along on your journeys.
