Slane Irish Whiskey wasn’t the first whiskey to come to Slane. The fertile soil and pure water of the Boyne Valley attracted many budding whiskey craftsmen. But over time, this ancient art was all but lost. In 2015, the opening of their distillery brought with it a revival of Boyne Valley whiskey, where they blend old traditions with modern innovation. Much of the barley is sustainably grown on their very own estate, and some of its bought in, but it’s always 100% Irish. Their natural water source, the ancient River Boyne, runs along the distillery and through the heart of the estate.

Matured in virgin oak casks, seasoned whiskey casks, and Oloroso sherry casks, you can taste the complexity of Slane Irish Whiskey in every sip. After aging comes expert blending by master craftspeople. And after blending comes perfection.

Tasting Notes
— Nose: Complex fruit with drizzles of caramel, butterscotch and vanilla; brown spice and toasted oak.
— Palate: Spicy at first, but quickly sweetened with rich caramel, vanilla and butterscotch, atop a deep layer of dried fruit
— Finish: Lingering hints of dry fruit and caramelized wood sugar.
