FAQ
You have the option of running one of the “erase” tracks (tight spiral over the entire sand field) in between each track if you want a clean slate which is great for images or words. Better yet, let each track layer on-top of each other adding interesting complexity and looking different each time.
Do you draw your own art or does the ball draw automatically based on options?You can draw your own art in several ways or from the mobile app, just select any of the 400+ shared tracks you want to run, their order, if/where you want an erase track and much more then save it as a play list you can use whenever you’d like.
How do I get another ball?If you would like a spare ball or other size ball this can be purchased at the Sisyphus Industries parts store online.
What are the dimentions of the sand part itself?The viewable diameter of the sand field on the Mini EX is 9.9".
How does the sand last in very humid areas?There are many tables operating in humid areas, it has not been a problem.
Is replacement sand available?
Yes, replacement sand is available.
We've designed them to be as quiet as possible but some sound is unavoidable. This can also be limited by decreasing the speed of the Sisyphus.
If I need to transport the item and the sand shifts or piles up on one side will the item work properly?If the sand shifts to one side you can easily remove the glass and smooth it out with your hand or small card and the ball running tracks will self-level it again. If transporting longer distances it's best to remove the sand and lightly vacuum the bed before boxing to keep sand off the glass and mechanism.
How does the marble move?The Sisyphus contains a robotic mechanism with a magnet to move the ball through the sand field.
Can the table run by battery?The table is not battery operated.
How big is the base?The base is 12" diameter by 1.5" tall. The upper hoop is 15" diameter by 2.5" tall.
Is it wireless enabled or do I need to plug in the ethernet?The Sisyphus Mini does support wireless communication. In high use wireless environments Ethernet is advised, though.
Can it makes it own design without the apps? Can you just plug it and makes it own design?Yes, it will immediately start playing about 30 different tracks but you can connect online for over 1,000 more to share.
