Product Description

The SHARPAL Knife & Scissors Sharpener is a perfect sharpener for European/American style knives. Stage 1 uses two crossed carbide blades to put a quick edge on knives, while Stage 2 uses ceramic blades to hone the fine edge. This sharpener can also be used for serrated blades by using only Stage Two. A shaped tungsten carbide blade is included for scissors sharpening, and the heavy duty, ergonomic handle with the rubber over-molded grip provides a stable and comfortable platform for sharpening all your knives, scissors.

The additional Ceramic Sharpening Rod is made of high-grade 1200 grit ceramic, a material close in hardness to diamond, making it wear-resistant, light in weight and rust-proof. The sharpening rod hones and realigns your knife edge quickly and easily - it is long enough to hone most any knife in your block, from a small chef's knife to large butchering knife.

Unlike a traditional sharpener, a honing rod is used by professionals after each and every use to roll the edge back to its original position and keep it at the ideal angle for maximum sharpness. It comes with a soft grip rubber handle and oversized hand guard for comfort and safety. As ceramic material can easily get broken, the removable rubber cap is specially designed to protect a support surface from scratch as well as to reduce chipping and nicking when drops.
