In the mid-1970s, enormous oil fields were discovered in Siberia with the promise of land and prosperity. Three young Russian engineers adventured to the remotest areas of Siberia where they pushed the limits every day—battling extreme living conditions, unforgiving Siberian cold, and brutal hard work that took a toll on the mind and body. How did they cope? Vodka. The vodka served with their meager food rations was fine enough to warm their spirits, but the men dreamt of how it could be much better. With all the success and money rolling in, the oil pioneers had the means to distill their own high-grade vodka exactly how they imagined it. Vodka as it was meant to be. Vodka from oilmen for oilmen. They called it NEFT—"oil" in Russian—to honour the natural resource that brought them prosperity.

Crafted in Austria for its oxygen-rich spring water, NEFT combines 4 ancient non-GMO rye grains farmed in Lower Saxony—Amato, Askari Pollino and Rasant—and uses a small-batch, triple copper-pot distillation process with proprietary carbon-layer filtering. The result is a vodka with a refined flavor profile and a natural, slightly sweet finish and ultra smooth finish that can be sipped straight, or to enhance your favorite cocktail.

Their award winning distillery, located in Austria near the Rhine River and Swiss Border, has been perfecting small-batch, curated spirits for over 130 years.​ The pure spring water is filtered through slate and granite far beneath the Alps for 50 years before reaching their secured aquifer. This oxygen-rich water is so clean that it is naturally low in dissolved salts and ions— a crucial aspect for any ultra-premium vodka. As a result, there is no need for demineralization at the well or over-filtering that would rob the vodka of its distinctive character.
