Arthur Schening

Arthur Schening is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator living in Arlington, VA. Arthur graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. He currently works as the principal for his company ScheningCreative.

Arthur has been interested in vintage racing cars – predominantly from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s – ever since seeing Steve McQueen’s racing movie Le Mans when he was a young man. When he is not busy working on client projects, Arthur channels his passion for historic racing cars into his art. Not able to afford the automobiles he loves, Arthur satisfies his desires by illustrating them. His illustrations are rendered in a clean, simple style that emphasizes the cars’ lines and beauty. He creates the artwork for his prints on his Mac, using Adobe Illustrator software.
