FAQ
Does it have a smell?

The only smell is the preferred lighter fluid that's used. Some lighter fluids have less odor than others.

Is it dangerous?

Anything with an open flame can be dangerous, so you'd want to use caution and common sense while using the product. The mechanism that houses the wick is spring loaded to automatically close and extinguish the flame if released or dropped so as to minimize the danger of an open flame.

Does this wallet fall apart easily?

The wallet is designed to be set on fire and take on a distressed appearance over time, but it should continue to function properly even if the corners or edges start to get dinged up.

Is the wallet travel safe?

The wallet is similar to a Zippo lighter, so wherever Zippo lighters would be allowed, it should be fine.

Does it leak?

It would only leak if it had been overfilled. If filled with a proper amount of lighter fluid, however, the wicks will prevent it from leaking.

Will it burn my money?

With normal use, the wallet will not burn any money that is stored inside of it.

Does it catch fire every time you open it or does it have a trigger?

There is a striking unit that you use to spark the wallet, so it won't ignite automatically.

Will it fit in your pocket?

It's about the same size as a standard wallet (maybe a bit thicker), so yes, it will fit in your pocket.

Are the pads replaceable?

They aren't replaceable, but if you use the wallet properly, the wicking pads will last a very long time.

Can the striking unit be set off without my input (on accident)?

It would be very difficult for the wallet to ignite by accident since the position of the striking unit is protected by the wallet itself when the wallet is closed.

Where would you buy a replacement striker for the wallet?

You can buy replacement flints for the striker unit at any convenience store or hardware store. That fixes 90 percent of striker unit issues. If it's something more than that, you'd want to contact us directly.

What are the instructions?

Video instructions can be found at the link on the product packaging. http://firewallet.scamstuff.com

Is the gimmick closed manually? Is there a magnet to hold it closed?

The gimmicked area is held open during use and will spring closed when released. There are no magnets used in the wallet.

How do I add fuel?

You just squirt lighter fluid on the fabric wicks inside the wallet. The video instructions will run you through all the specifics.
