The Tatami Planter is hand assembled from 5 plates of substantial steel and configured into this simple, yet elegant form. The inspiration for this piece was pulled from the proportions of the Japanese tatami mat of 2:1.

The logistics behind this, seemingly simple planter, makes Tatami ahead of its class in terms of durable and long lasting gardening tools and containers. This traditional Japanese proportion is also pleasing to the eye and timeless.

The Tatami carries the Sarabi Studio plaque and is signed by the designer.
