Sleep
Product Description
The sleeping face of a giant looms over Dali's classic surrealist landscape in this painting, simply entitled Sleep. Precariously perched atop thin supports, this face is an ode to the balance of sleep that Dali himself struggled with. He perceived sleep as a drain on his creative time and sought to overcome and represent it in his body of work.

About the Designer
Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) was a groundbreaking icon of the Surrealist movement and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Extraordinarily imaginative, he also sculpted, and contributed to fashion, photography and theater. His surreal paintings are characterized by a refined sense of light and space often attributed to his study of Renaissance master works. In contemporary art, Dalí is now a master of his own movement.
