Salvador Dalí // The Elephants
Product Description
The Elephants, c.1948 by Salvador Dali explores the artist's common reference to elephants in his work, especially those with distorted bodies. The improbability of Dali's elephants — large, strong animals on long, spindly legs — may be a reference to the improbability of reality and the contradictory elements of daily life. This Elephants is a classic piece of Dali's surreal canon.

About the Designer
Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) was a groundbreaking icon of the Surrealist movement and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Extraordinarily imaginative, he also sculpted, and contributed to fashion, photography and theater. His surreal paintings are characterized by a refined sense of light and space often attributed to his study of Renaissance master works. In contemporary art, Dalí is now a master of his own movement.
