Atavistic Vestiges After the Rain, 1934 (ArtBlock)
Product Description
In this beautiful surrealist work, entitled Atavistic Vestiges After the Rain, two figures approach a large rock in a barren landscape typical of Dali's world. Thought to be a father and son, the two prepare to cross underneath the curved stone, which is presumed to be representative of the feminine form, as it resembles a similar feminine rock in the painting "Millets Architectonic Angelus."

About the Designer
Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) was a groundbreaking icon of the Surrealist movement and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Extraordinarily imaginative, he also sculpted, and contributed to fashion, photography and theater. His surreal paintings are characterized by a refined sense of light and space often attributed to his study of Renaissance master works. In contemporary art, Dalí is now a master of his own movement.
