Petite Palm Arrow Basket

This all-natural Petite Palm Arrow Basket was meticulously handwoven by a cooperative of women in a rural mountain village, which is also the source of the raw materials used. Woven using palm and banana leaves, which are a plentiful and renewable resource, this basket took about a week for an artisan to complete. The minimal pattern was made using non-toxic pigments from seeds, roots, flowers and berries, and the basket features woven handles that make it easy to move and lift. It is amazingly sturdy and strong, meant to withstand constant use. And in addition to being a beautiful decorative piece, is it also completely functional. Use it to hide and organize clutter, or add a potted cactus to create a well-traveled feel in any room.

Due to the use of all natural materials and dyes, and its completely handmade nature, each basket is truly one-of-a-kind; no two are exactly alike. Each basket is individually crafted from start to finish by an artisan in a fair trade environment in Uganda. Imperfections are expected and contribute to the uniqueness of your handmade good.
