The idea behind the "New York Sliced" Project was to photograph iconic New York City buildings at sunset to capture the changing light from day to night in a single image. The project evolved starting in 2010 when photographer Richard Silver would go out and shoot NYC buildings, not knowing what the final output would be. Figuring out that he wanted to infuse the time factor as a major theme in his photos, each photo shows the exact time to the second when each "Slice" was taken. The project is a work in progress with 38 buildings already photographed.
