The Omega Constellation has been an icon in watchmaking and design for decades, but it hasn't always looked the same. Originally introduced in the 1950s, the Constellation was an immaculate dress watch with diamond shaped markers and exquisitely sculpted pie-pan dials. But in 1982, it was redesigned as the Omega Constellation "Manhattan" by Carol Didisheim. Since then, it's iconic integrated bracelet, slim case, and four claws over the crystal have graced the wrists of movie stars, models, and world leaders.
This particular Constellation even features a coaxial escapement. Often thought to be the most important innovation in watchmaking in the last 250 years, this mechanical marvel, originally created by master horologist George Daniels, reduces internal friction and removes the need to add a lubricant.
