Carefully crafted by hand in the United States, the Runes Axe from Raven Mart is a functional work of art. The raven has a long and rich history as a symbol in Norse culture and mythology, often representing Odin. Much like one of these axes, it was an intimidating symbol of strength and power.

Because each axe is handcrafted, no two will be exactly the same. To properly care for your piece, oil the blade after each use, and return it to the included leather sheath.

They are sharp and ready to use to chop the medium size wood.

Yes, oil is very important that will keep the shine and keep it away from rust as well.

How is the handle attached to the metal?

The wood is friction seated, and then the top of the axe head and handle are epoxy’d and under the epoxy, a wedge is driven into the top of the handle.
