This custom museum display showcases an authentic Ancient Greek Silver coin (Drachma) Minted in Macedonia for Alexander The Great, dating from 336-323 BC

Drachmas were currency issued by many Greek city states during a period of ten centuries, starting in the Archaic period, 800 BC

This stunning example was minted for the King of Macedonia, Pharaoh of Egypt, King of Persia, the Lord of Asia, and founder of over 20 cities that bore his name - Alexander III of Macedon - Commonly known as Alexander the Great (356-323 BC) Ranked among the most influential people in history, yet having only lived 32 years. He remains to this day the measure against which military leaders compare themselves. Military academies throughout the world still teach his tactics.

The obverse (heads), depicts the head Heracles, the divine hero in Greek mythology, son of Zeus and Alcmene, foster son of Amphitryon. The greatest of the Greek heroes, a paragon of masculinity, the ancestor of royal clans who claimed to be Heracleidae, and a champion of the Olympian order against chthonic monsters. In Rome and the modern West, he is known as Hercules,

The reverse (tails), depicts Zeus ' the sky', seated in majesty holding his symbol, the eagle.

God of thunder in ancient Greek religion, who rules as king of the gods of Mount Olympus - His name is associated with the first element of his Roman equivalent Jupiter. His mythologies and powers are similar, though not identical, to those of Indo-European deities such as Indra, Jupiter, Perkūnas, Perun, Thor, and Odin.

He was respected as an allfather who was chief of the gods and assigned the others to their roles: "Even the gods who are not his natural children address him as Father, and all the gods rise in his presence."

It's protected under plexiglass in a custom museum display to keep it looking pristine, ensuring protection of your investment while allowing you to fully appreciate this piece of collectible ancient history.
