This custom museum display showcases an absolute masterpiece, an authentic Carved God Horus Tomb Statue dating from the Ptolemaic Period 332–30 B.C. This ancient Egyptian tomb statue features a stone carved Horus of The Winged Disk, the first known national god, specifically related to the king who in time came to be regarded as a manifestation of Horus in life and Osiris in death. The most commonly encountered family relationship describes Horus as the son of Isis and Osiris, and he plays a key role in the Osiris myth as Osiris's heir and the rival to Set, the murderer of Osiris.
Horus served many functions, most notably being a god of kingship and the sky. This statue was finely carved depicting a human with a falcon head, with a long tripartite wig and broad collar necklace. The face is rendered in nice detail with eyes and beak in relief, it also has shallow dorsal pillar at back engraved with a vertical band of hieroglyphic inscriptions (usually a passage from the book of the dead) , and wearing the pschent crown, as a symbol of kingship over the entire kingdom of Egypt. The pschent features an engraved Goddess Ma’at (The goddess of justice, recognizable by the feather above her head. She is holding the Ankh in her hand, which is the symbol for life.)
In homage to greatest, most celebrated, and most powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom - The "Great Ancestor" - Ramesesses II's cartouche is engraved on the side of the dorsal pillar. Horus is one of the most significant ancient Egyptian deities.

It's protected under plexiglass in a custom museum display to keep it looking pristine, ensuring protection of your investment while allowing you to fully appreciate this piece of collectible ancient history. The customized descriptive metallic plaque, in addition to the detailed finishing, add to the elegant, gallery quality look. Unique and one-of-a-kind, you'll receive the exact piece shown in the photos. Complete with a certificate of authenticity, this piece is an exciting investment that will only get better with age.
