1935 B $1 STAR Silver Certificate // #625 // PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated

Being offered today is a rare $1 Dollar 1934 “B” series Silver Certificate STAR Note. This “STAR Note” has been graded in PMG 64 Gem Uncirculated EPQ. The STAR signifies a “replacement note”. When The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP prints a sheet of notes and they are damaged in any way, the notes must be destroyed. By law, they need to print notes bearing the damaged serial numbers. When they print the new notes, they must bear a STAR in front of the serial number. This designates the note as a “replacement note”. The STAR Notes are far more valuable than a regular printed note. The serial number on this note is *06024625 B. The note has a low serial number. This note carries an additional grading of Gem Uncirculated. The Gem Uncirculated designation shows that the note looks like it was just printed.

The note is centered very well, and the ink just pops off the note. The colors are bright and bold. The note offered here has fantastic eye appeal. The note shows no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the note are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears.
