1934 $50 Federal Reserve // 2 Consecutive Notes #204-205 // Gem Uncirculated

Being offered today is a rare set of 1934 $50.00 Federal Reserve with 2 consecutive notes. They are from the New York Series which is designated by the “B” on the left side of the note. (see pics). The notes carry a light green seal (LGS) on the right side of the notes. These notes are very hard to find in this condition, let alone having a consecutive run of 2 notes. Consecutive notes are much harder to find.

The 1934 Federal Reserve $20 Dollar group has 3 different notes in the series. The reason for the different types of notes is that when the “Treasurer of the United States” or the “Secretary of the Treasury” changes, by law they must print notes bearing their name. That is how the “A” through “B” series works, or any other dated currency with multiple lettering in the series. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing or BEP will print millions of “backs” of notes for a series. Then print a set number of “fronts” of the notes as needed for the series with the correct Treasurer of The United States or Secretary of The Treasury. You can locate their signatures on the bottom left side and bottom right side of the front of the note. The signatures on these notes are Julian on the left and Morgenthau on the right. A lot of collectors will collect the entire series in a designated note, which adds to the fun of collecting currency as there are many options.

The notes are all centered very well, and the ink just pops off the notes. The colors are bright and bold. All of the notes offered here have fantastic eye appeal. The notes show no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the notes are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears. Each note will be encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holders are made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated notes and protects against tampering. The notes pictured in this group are the exact notes you will receive.

The notes are all in Choice Uncirculated condition or higher. They look like they were just printed yesterday. All of the notes that we offer will be in a high grade or we don’t sell them. It is extremely rare to find an original 2 piece consecutive set of these notes.
