1928 G $2 STAR Note // Gem Uncirculated

Being offered today is a HIGH GRADE 1928 G series $2.00 Legal Tender STAR note. This note is very hard to source in this condition. When you factor in the STAR on the note, this really is something you want for your collection. This is another example of a high grade note that is Gem Uncirculated condition. It looks like the note was just printed yesterday. All of the notes that we offer will be in high grade, or we don’t sell them.

Star notes are “replacement notes”. If during the printing process the sheet shows defects, then that sheet must be destroyed. By law, the serial numbers must be printed. When they print the new sheet, it will have a star in front of the serial number. Star notes are far more valuable as compared to a regular note

The note is centered very well, and the ink just pops off the notes. The colors are bright and bold. This note has fantastic eye appeal. The notes show no sign of wear on the corners or the sides. All of the corners and edges of the notes are crisp and clean. There are no pinholes, rips, stains, or tears. The note is encased in a long-term preservation holder. The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated note and protects against counterfeiting and tampering. The note pictured is the note you will receive. This Legal Tender note is designated by the Red Seal on the left center of the note. It also has “THIS NOTE IS A LEGAL TENDER AT ITS FACE VALUE FOR ALL DEBTS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE” embossed over the red seal (see pictures).
