Panerai Radiomir PAM 341 "L'Egiziano"
Login for PriceProduct Description
In 1916, to meet the military needs of the Royal Italian Navy, Officine Panerai created Radiomir, a radium-based powder that gives luminosity to the dials of sighting instruments and devices. Today's Radiomir retains many of the prototype’s features: a large, cushion-shaped case, luminescent numerals and indices, wire lugs welded to the case, a hand-wound mechanical movement, and a water-resistant strap long enough to be worn over a diving suit. The Navy's historical archives record that just ten prototypes were produced in 1936, but this newer model can be yours without robbing a rare watches museum — although you may feel as though you did, with classical shapes that are sure to delight you.
Appraised at $28,500.
