Opening champagne bottles with a saber is a tradition that dates back to the Napoleonic era. Bring this spectacular tradition into the 21st century with this beautiful and modern Champagne Saber worthy of celebration.

Sabering a bottle is simple. Start by chilling the neck of the Champagne bottle in ice for 10 minutes. Keep cork cage on bottle when icing. Remove all the foil and the wire cage from the bottle, then locate the seam that leads up to the lip of the bottle. Hold the bottle with your non-dominant hand at a 30-degree angle, then place your thumb in the punt of the bottle. The top of bottle should be angled away from body. Rest the blade flat against the glass on the seam and in one swift motion, run the blade along the seam of the bottle, strike the lip, and follow through. The cork and the lip will separate from the neck of the bottle. Now you're ready to serve!
