Prestige Decanters
Tomoka Gold
Product Description
In 1920 the 18th Amendment went into effect, banning the manufacture, sale and distribution of intoxicating liquors, and gave rise to rumrunners who illegally transported alcohol into the US by boat. The Tomoka was one of the most famous rum-running ships of the time, moving whiskey and other fine liquors from the Bahamas to the east coast of the United States. In order to get around Prohibition laws, ships would park 3 miles off the coast outside of US jurisdiction in international waters — these floating liquor stores became known as Rum Row.
Within the Tomoka Gold decanter is an intricate glass ship that is meticulously handcrafted while the 1000ml decanter is built around it. The spigot has an adjustable seal to ensure a leak-proof seal for life, and its Prestige stainless steel spout offers solid, easy flow technology and an elegant design. The wooden display base is handmade of solid oak by master carpenters in Kentucky, and the ground glass stopper creates a durable airtight seal to last a lifetime.
