The Scully family has proudly maintained a small family farm on the southwest coast of Ireland for 9 generations. Recognizing the bounty of resources nature had to offer—prime land, pristine water, and salty sea air—they realized they had the perfect ingredients for a maritime distillery. The Scully's opened the Clonakilty distillery in the heart of town in 2018 where they craft award-winning Irish whiskey from the heritage barley grown on their family farm and aged in their Atlantic Ocean warehouse 200m above the ocean.

Clonakilty Single Batch Double Oak Irish Whiskey is the flagship of Clonakilty’s Cask Finish Series. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks, finished in virgin American oak as well as shaved, toasted, and re-charred ex-red wine European oak casks (NEOC, New Era of Cask). NEOC are ex-red wine barrels from the Bordeaux region of France. They are hand-shaved by traditional coopers, and re-toasted according to each individual distiller’s specification.

Tasting Notes
— Nose: Soft spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass, slightly perfumed, ripe apple/pear notes. Fresh leather tones.
— Palate: Warm spices – cubeb pepper and ginger. Fresh cut grass, hazelnut and almond notes.
— Finish: Long finish with vanilla sweetness and spices lingering on the palate.
