Can you link multiple units for better surround sound?

Unfortunately, not yet. Reactor is designed to reproduce true stereo with 2 channel left and right.

How strong is the magnet?

The magnets are actually quite strong, as they are designed to bring both speakers together and hold to carry. You can also attach one speaker to any metal surface, like a fridge, and it will hold.
