Product Description

Founded in 1996 and named one of SoHo's best independent shops by Time Out New York, Posteritati curates an eclectic collection of vintage and contemporary movie art, indulging cinephiles one sheet at a time. From the silent era to modern classics, Posteritati's downtown Manhattan gallery boasts a diverse collection of movie memorabilia from over 30 different countries.

Owner Sam Sarowitz has co-authored several books on movie posters culled exclusively from Posteritati's collection, including Art of the Modern Movie Poster and Translating Hollywood, both praised by the likes of Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and Leonard Maltin — a "truly magnificent, if not monumental, work” (Film Comment, 2009).

This collection features theater memorabilia, and original and re-release movie posters from different countries around the world.
