Product Description

Formed when volcanic lava cools rapidly, the Snowflake Obsidian's unique mottled white color results from small, radially clustered crystals of cristobalite. Obsidian can be extremely hard and brittle making it very difficult to work with. However the high level of craftsmanship put into Plug & Feather watches has enabled them to produce watches that keep this stone in a stable state. These stones can be found in various places around the world where felsic lava volcanic eruptions take place, including Argentina, Greece, Scotland, Kenya, and New Zealand.
