The 1950s are often depicted as idyllic and quaint, full of good clean living and prosperity. The reality is that behind the storybook image hid a whole different underground scene of illegal gambling, prostitution, after-hours drinking, and gunplay. John Powell envisioned a deck of playing cards that someone as deadly and debonair as James Bond would pull out of their suit at a card game — classy, customized, and traditional. With this concept in mind, Double Black was born.

Since 1885, the USPCC has printed their most popular and demanded brand of playing cards around the world, Bicycle. Although there has been many variations of their back designs, one has remained the most influential: the "rider back." With keeping in the tradition of what makes the design great, 4pm Designs has worked with the USPCC to create a set of unique poker cards. With hand drawn courts, aces, and joker cards, the Legacy is a great deck for performers of magic and cardistry, and brings something fresh to your weekend poker games.
