This industrial modern Pratt & Whitney Radial Desk Lamp was created using an authentic 1940's WWII Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine piston. The R-2800 is considered one of the premier radial piston engines ever designed, notable for its widespread use in many important American aircraft during and after World War II. Parts like this powered many of the greatest airplanes ever built from the Canadair CL-215 and Consolidated TBY Sea Wolf to the Sikorsky CH-37 Mojave helicopter, Vought F4U corsair, and Vultee V-11.
