Paul Roncal

Paul Roncal has a B.S. in Biology. He became interested in saltwater aquariums with a focus on micro ecosystems of the ocean. His 3 gallon saltwater reef was featured in nano-reef.com for its design and complexity. He further refined his saltwater aquariums and created the first low-maintenance miniature saltwater aquarium. Through a successful Kickstarter campaign, he funded PJ reef’s modern LED lamp and ecosystem design. He plans on continuing to push the boundaries with miniature ecosystems.
