Does this work with videoconferencing apps like FaceTime and Zoom?

Pivo Cast's Connect mode allows you to connect to any third-party social media apps or camera apps, but there are some restrictions with Connect Mode. It works on Face Tracking, portrait mode, and the front camera only. It tracks based on Screen Recording instead of what the smartphone camera captures, so you've to make sure that your face is the biggest on the screen in order for it to work. Pivo would work with FaceTime but a constraint to take note of is that in FaceTime, if you change your face to the biggest on-screen, you won't be able to see the other party.

When recording, does the app or system require internet access?

Pivo Play (Pivo Pod App): With the exception of Pivo Play's Multistream Live, all of the main features work offline. This includes photo stitching, special effects, and gesture mode. Please note that you'd need the internet to sign up/sign in to the app.

Is there a required subscription to use the device?

Pivo Pod Red comes with these apps below for free. You can download it in Google Play or App Store.
