Believed to to have been directly ancestral to the Megalodon, the Otodus shark is an extinct genus of mackerel shark which lived during the Paleocene period (26 to 62 Million years ago). This fossilized Otodus Obliquus Shark vertebrae was found in Oulad Abdoun, Morocco.
