Product Description
Shymmer is a small but powerful piece with an explosion of green and blue colors with the iridescent that it can only be seen in labradorite. The green effect in wide transparencies of the faceted glass adds the perfect contrast to the piece. It is mounted on a custom-made acrylic base.
Glass artists Orfeo Quagliata and Ernesto Duran created the TYME collection with the shared idea to create visual compositions full of color and texture. Born in San Francisco in 1972, Quagliata was attracted to glass from an early age. He began apprenticing for his father, Narcissus Quagliata, at age 12. Duran, on the other hand, didn't discover his passion for glass art until he was 24 when he founded Pietra Gallery. He grew up with a love for nature and a passion for collecting minerals, which is translated in his work today.
