Transmitting Signals
Product Description
This portrait shows a stone sculpture standing tall and proud among sandcastles on the surrounding beach. The image evokes the pyramids in Egypt with each monument creating its own gravitas and buzz. This is a proud silhouette for a stately home.
The artist says:
"Stone age communications happen on a beach in Martha's Vineyard, MA. These ancient antennas are transmitting signals of world peace and harmony."

About the Designer
When Phillip Long chooses a location, he looks for two things: colorful and uniquely shaped stones for sculptures and breathtaking backgrounds. Most of his work is done on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Vineyard’s north and west beaches are known for their rocks and stones. Every morning the tide and waves deliver a new vista for his work and all of his sculptures are free-balanced. He photographs each sculpture to save it. Ultimately, the stones end up in the sand where he found them. Mother nature erases all evidence of his visit.
