Reliance
Product Description
This portrait is bold, architectural, and infused with traces of film noire glamour. The stone sculpture at the forefront draws the eye in while the tumultuous ocean in the background is dramatic and evocative. This print is ideal for an Alfred Hitchcock lover's home.
The artist says:
"Every part of this sculpture relies on the other for perfect balance. It was taken on Martha's Vineyard, MA, summer of 2006."

About the Designer
When Phillip Long chooses a location, he looks for two things: colorful and uniquely shaped stones for sculptures and breathtaking backgrounds. Most of his work is done on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Vineyard’s north and west beaches are known for their rocks and stones. Every morning the tide and waves deliver a new vista for his work and all of his sculptures are free-balanced. He photographs each sculpture to save it. Ultimately, the stones end up in the sand where he found them. Mother nature erases all evidence of his visit.
