Threadwing Antlion // 11 x 14
Product Description
While most species of Antlion could be mistaken for common dragonflies, the Threadwing Antlion features fantastically elongated, extremely fragile hindwings. Antlions are famous for their larval stage when as hideous, armored grubs they dig sand traps for other small insects that they relentlessly devour. That such unseemly creatures could metamorphize into the elegant, vegetarian Threadwing is surely one of nature’s remarkable feats. There is an analogy in there somewhere.
