Datsun 240Z 432R
Product Description
Who would have said that imposing taxes on large engines could end up being rather beneficial? Maybe no one. But that is exactly what happened in Japan. The 2.4L straight six used in Datsun’s 240Z was such a case. Being over the limit, the management had to think of ways to get under the two liter mark…
And that’s where the legendary GT-R's S20 came in handy. Having four valves per cylinder, three Mikuni carburetors and two overhead cams, the 432 model was born. In its stock form the S20 engine was good enough for 160hp. Needed more? With some extra modifications, the race bred 432R could push around 180hp — more than enough for a 70's sports car.
