That's why they've partnered with the historic Bissell Maple Farm to create a limited edition batch of uniquely flavorful, pure maple syrup aged in Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23-year bourbon barrels— a perfect marriage of craftsmanship and flavor. The result is a rich syrup bursting with flavors of vanilla, butter, oak and, of course, bourbon. Use in your favorite recipes, as a finishing syrup, or even in your favorite cocktails. There is no expiration date. After opening it needs to be refrigerated, and the longer it is refrigerated the more sugar crystals form on the bottom, but it does not go bad.

The products are produced by Pappy & Company. The founders are the daughters of Julian Van Winkle who owns Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery and is in partnership with Buffalo Trace. They are licensed through their father to sell goods.

No, it is 100% pure maple syrup.
