With a large cockpit and stable 28” beam, it’s perfect for day trips, picnics, fishing, and casual fun with friends and family (or even dogs!) Its also made from a custom polypropylene, with a 10 year UV treatment, and a 20,000 fold cycle rating. The origami design delivers incredible tracking and stability— the hull folds create hard chines and a long keel line, while the lightweight materials make handling easy and responsive. Oru Kayaks have been extensively tested in many environments, including lakes, rivers, bays, and oceans.

It breaks down into four pieces, so it stows easily inside the Oru Kayak in box form, and features a lightweight fiberglass shaft and super-tough ABS plastic blades. The paddle is truly customizable: a quick-clamp connector allows you to adjust both the length of the paddle, and the feather angles of the blades.
And now, you can really bring the Oru Kayak anywhere! The included Oru Pack is made of rugged heavy-duty nylon, with a super-comfortable shoulder and hip strap system, so you can hike in to remote waters, or check it on a plane to foreign lands. CARE: Oru recommends caring for this kayak as you would a fiberglass, wood, or skin-on-frame kayak. Avoid unnecessary dragging or bumping - use the carry handles to lift, instead of tugging it behind you. Store out of direct sunlight. Rinse the kayak thoroughly with fresh water after each use - sediment and salt that dry to the surface of the boat can be abrasive over time.
