One-Stroke Dragon
Edo-Inspired Dragon Art
Keisuke Teshima is the self-taught artist behind One-Stroke Dragon. He draws his dragons in one single stroke to convey the feeling of the ties you have with a person; that the relationship can’t be broken. As one of the few one-stroke dragon masters remaining in Japan, he's restored the artwork in over 200 Buddhist temples, and uses the traditional teachings and methods of dragon art from the Edo period - with his own spin. It is said that the “One-Stroke Dragon” has long been associated with bringing good fortune to the owner. A Dragon facing up is proud and symbolizes ambition, a Dragon facing down is praying, and acting as a guardian.
