1920 Pilgrim Commemorative Silver Half Dollar // Spectacular Colorful Toning // PCGS Certified AU58+ CAC // Wood Presentation Box
Product Description
The Pilgrim Tercentenary half dollar was a commemorative fifty-cent coin struck by the U.S. Mint in limited quantities in 1920 and 1921 to mark the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the Pilgrims in North America. Critically regarded as a masterpiece of classical design, the obverse of this stunning coin features Plymouth Colony Governor William Bradford wearing a hat and carrying a bible in his arm, with a facial expression of deep contemplation. The reverse depicts the Mayflower ship under full sail. The spectacular, nearly mint-state specimen offered here shows tremendous colorful toning on both sides that has slowly developed over the past 100 years due to the unique environmental conditions the coin has experienced during its lifetime. Certified by PCGS to be in AU58+ condition and bearing the green sticker of approval from CAC for exceptional eye appeal, this stunner is sure to impress even the most advanced collectors of commemorative U.S. coinage. You will receive the unique piece shown in the photos housed in a plus-lined wood box with certificate of authenticity.
