John D. Rockefeller & Henry Flagler Signed 1888 Standard Oil Trust Stock Certificate
Product Description
Standard Oil Company was an American oil producing, transporting, refining, and marketing company established in 1870 by John D. Rockefeller and Henry M. Flagler. It grew to become the largest oil refinery in the world until the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1911 that Standard Oil was an illegal monopoly, resulting in dissolution of the Standard Oil Trust into 34 smaller companies.
The exceptional 1888 Standard Oil Trust stock certificate offered here was issued at the height of the company’s operations and bears the original signatures of both John D. Rockefeller and Henry M. Flagler. Recent prints of Rockefeller and Flagler accompany the document. This historic certificate would look great on the walls of any business office or boardroom. You will receive the unique item shown in the photos.
The expert staff of Olevian Numismatic Rarities unconditionally guarantees the authenticity of every historic document they sell, and all signatures contained therein. A certificate of authenticity will be included with each item. In addition, the signatures have been precertified online by Autograph COA, a leading third-party authentication service. A Precertification Letter will be included with your purchase, which is also eligible to be sent to Autograph COA by you for a full Letter of Certification, for a small additional fee.
