1986-Mo 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad NGC Certified Proof-69UC // Wood Presentation Box
Product Description
The Mexican Silver Libertad is the official 0.999 fine silver bullion coin produced annually by the Mexican Casa De Moneda since 1982. This stunning coin has become one of the most widely traded silver bullion coins in the world and is a favorite among international collectors and investors alike.
The Mexican Silver Libertad became the first silver bullion coin ever produced specifically for investors in 1982. Since its introduction, it has become one of the most widely traded silver bullion coins in the world. The Silver Libertad is produced in 1 ounce as well as both multi-ounce and fractional-ounce sizes. They bear no stated legal tender face value, but rather are accepted as currency and guaranteed by Banco de México based on the market value of the silver content at the time of transaction.
The Mexican Libertad is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful coins in production today. The obverse shows the Mexican Coat of Arms with an eagle clutching a snake in its beak, while the reverse features a stunning depiction of Winged Victory holding a wreath crown in her right hand and broken chains in her left. Similar to the American Lady Liberty, Winged Victory is the allegorical symbol of the Mexican people during their revolution against Spanish Colonial rule. The mountains of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl rise gracefully in the background field.
Offered here is one of the early issues in a difficult to obtain, low mintage proof specimen. Each coin has been certified by NGC in Proof 69 Ultra Cameo condition, housed in an airtight holder, and presented in a luxurious, plush-lined wood box with embossed metallic gold lettering, piano-black finish, and certificate of authenticity. The coins are unconditionally guaranteed to be genuine, minted in 1986, and will match the exceptional proof quality of the ones shown.
