2016 Star Wars Han Solo Gold & Silver Coins // NGC Certified Proof Specimens // Set of 2
Product Description
This is a rare collection featuring 2 legal tender coins issued by the New Zealand Mint under the authority of the Pacific island state of Niue. Both coins depict Han Solo, Captain of the Millennium Falcon and leader of the Rebel Alliance, frozen in Carbonite, as in the 1980 release of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
The gold coin contains one full ounce of 0.9999 fine gold, bears a legal tender face value of $200, and is one of only 500 minted.
The silver coin contains one full ounce of 0.999 fine silver, bears a legal tender face value of $2, and is one of only 10,000 minted.
Both coins have been certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) to be in exceptional Proof-69 (out of 70) ultra-cameo condition. The gold coin is also certified to be one of the first 200 coins struck and the silver coin is one of the first 2,225 struck. Original New Zealand Mint certificates of authenticity bearing the serial number 157 for both coins also attests to this fact.
The certified coins are housed in an attractive mahogany-colored wood box with black plush lining. All original mint packaging is also included. You will receive the unique coins shown in the photos.
