Mining Collection: Set of 6 American Mining Company Stock Certificates (1850's - 1970s)
Product Description
The hope of finding mineral treasures was a key incentive to early American colonists-- giving rise to a rich, complex, and fascinating history of mining in the United States. This interesting collection features 6 vintage stock certificates issued by American mining companies spanning more than a centuryāfrom the 1850s to the 1970s. It includes a scarce, seldom-offered certificate issued by the Anglo-Californian Gold Mining Company in the 1850s, an unusual certificate from the Parrot Silver and Copper Company bearing a vignette of that same bird, as well as 4 more recent, colorful certificates from United States Mining Company, Homestake Mining Company, The Anaconda Company, and Phelps-Dodge Corporation. All certificates date from the 1850ās to the 1970ās and are in superb collector condition.
